Leebron and NCAA’s Emmert talk college sports

Rice University President David Leebron welcomed NCAA President Mark Emmert to the Jones School’s Shell Auditorium April 1 for a wide-ranging conversation with students, faculty and staff on issues in college athletics. Emmert, in town for the NCAA’s Final Four men’s basketball championship, visited with Rice students at Tudor Fieldhouse earlier in the day. Leebron has served on the NCAA Division I Board of Directors since 2012 as a representative of Conference USA. The event was sponsored by the Office of the President and Rice Athletics Department.
