Rice MBA ranked among top 20 in US
MBA program moves up 6 in Bloomberg Businessweek’s national ranking

HOUSTON – (Oct. 20, 2015) – The Master of Business Administration program at Rice University’s Jones Graduate School of Business is ranked No. 19 (up from No. 25 in 2014) in Bloomberg Businessweek’s new analysis of the best full-time MBA programs in the nation. The school’s part-time MBA for Professionals program was ranked No. 3 (up from No. 7 in 2014).

The rankings include 74 full- and part-time U.S. schools and 29 full-time international schools. To determine which business schools offer the strongest education and best prepare MBAs for their careers, Bloomberg Businessweek ranked the full-time MBA programs on five measures (expanded from three measures in previous years): a survey of employers who hire the school’s graduates (35 percent of the ranking); a survey of program alumni satisfaction (30 percent); a survey of current student satisfaction (15 percent); the Class of 2014 placement rate three months from graduation (10 percent); and the starting compensation for the combined classes of 2012-14 (10 percent).

The biggest contributor to the Jones School’s rise in the overall full-time ranking was the positive assessment by current students and alumni, with students ranking the program No. 2 and alumni ranking it No. 3.

The biggest contributor to the part-time program’s strong ranking was its standing among students, who ranked it No. 1.

The Rice MBA full- and part-time programs provide students with a comprehensive MBA learning experience that combines specialized coursework and real-world experience to improve and amplify their strategy, leadership and critical decision-making credentials. The program features innovative classes, expert faculty and a diverse group of candidates who often become colleagues for a lifetime.

The Jones Graduate School of Business is consistently recognized by several rankings publications for its programs, including the Rice MBA, Rice MBA for Executives and Rice MBA for Professionals. The school is internationally known for the research and thought leadership of its faculty. For more information on Rice MBA programs, visit http://business.rice.edu
