Rice United Way Campaign is halfway to goal

Two weeks into the 2015 Rice United Way Campaign, pledges and contributions total more than $112,500 — 50 percent of the $225,000 goal.

The Investments Division continues to lead the campus with 100 percent participation and total contributions of $13,156. The Housing and Dining Division leads with the most overall donors — 49.

To date, Rice employees who have increased their pledges over last year’s amount have claimed nearly $16,800 of dollar-for-dollar matching funds from Rice Board of Trustees Chairman Bobby Tudor ’82 and his wife, Phoebe; that offer will only be available for a limited time, so if you haven’t made a contribution yet, pledge today at rice.edu/unitedway.

Employees can make a pledge payable by payroll deductions spread over all paychecks in calendar (and tax) year 2016 by logging in at esther.rice.edu and clicking the “United Way” link to authorize a direct payroll contribution, or use the pledge form on the Rice United Way website, www.rice.edu/unitedway. That same form may also be used to make a cash, check or credit card gift (for tax year 2015).
