$13.7 million NSF grant creates natural hazards engineering center at UT Austin
A new cyberinfrastructure effort at the University of Texas at Austin, funded by a $13.7 million grant from the National Science Foundation, will help engineers build safer structures that can better withstand natural hazards such as earthquakes and windstorms. Jamie Padgett, associate professor of civil and environmental engineering, is part of the research team.
