Rice Space Institute director available for interviews after Tuesday’s Houston Spaceport announcement

HOUSTON – (June 29, 2015) – David Alexander, director of Rice University’s Rice Space Institute, will be available for one-on-one interviews following the Houston Airport System’s (HAS) news conference to announce the FAA’s decision on the license application for a Houston Spaceport.

Alexander is one of the speakers for the 10 a.m. HAS news conference Tuesday, June 30, along with Houston Mayor Annise Parker and Ellen Ochoa, director of the Lyndon B. Johnson Space Center, and others. He will be available throughout the day to discuss the FAA’s decision.

The Rice Space Institute works with Johnson Space Center and the broader Houston space community to foster deeper research collaborations and to facilitate multidisciplinary research to address the most pressing scientific and technological problems facing the exploration of space.
