Night Owl Safety Walk planned for April 21

Rice University Police Department (RUPD) is organizing a Night Owl Safety Walk during which groups of students, staff and faculty will conduct a comprehensive campus safety check.

Night Out Safety Walk RUPDVolunteers will meet at 7 p.m. April 21 at Sammy’s at Rice Memorial Center and then divide into groups to tour the campus and make note of any safety concerns they observe, such as poor lighting, overgrown shrubbery and safety hazards. Participants will be treated to pizza after they complete their inspection routes.

RUPD is conducting this event in conjunction with Facilities Engineering and Planning, Housing and Dining, the Student Association and the Graduate Student Association.
