Former U.S. Ambassador Djerejian available to discuss Saudi King Abdullah’s death

HOUSTON – (Jan. 22, 2015) Edward Djerejian, founding director of Rice University’s Baker Institute for Public Policy, former U.S. ambassador to Syria and Israel and former assistant secretary of state for Near Eastern affairs, is available for news media interviews Friday to discuss the death of Saudi King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz.

Djerejian is the author of “Danger and Opportunity: An American Ambassador’s Journey Through the Middle East.” He can discuss the implications of Abdullah’s death for U.S. policy in the region.
