Yael Hochberg, the Ralph S. O’Connor Associate Professor of Entrepreneurship and academic director of the Rice Alliance for Technology and Entrepreneurship, was elected by the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER) Board of Directors as a research associate in the bureau’s Program on Corporate Finance. Based in Cambridge, Mass., the NBER is a private, nonprofit, nonpartisan research organization dedicated to promoting a greater understanding of how the economy works. Hochberg’s research interests focus on the venture capital industry, networks and corporate governance and compensation policies. She had previously been an NBER faculty research fellow.
