Psychology Professor Mikki Hebl received the 2014 Gender and Diversity in Organizations Division Award for Distinguished Scholarly Contributions. The annual award recognizes a present or past member of the division who has made outstanding scholarly contributions that have advanced the knowledge of gender and diversity in organizations.

Rice alum and Board of Trustees Chairman Bobby Tudor ’82 will be honored as the Joe Niekro Humanitarian of the Year for his outstanding commitment and contributions to the Houston community at the fifth annual Knuckle Ball at 6:36 p.m. Sept. 20 at Hotel ZaZa. Natalie Niekro established the Joe Niekro Foundation in honor of her father, a Houston Astros All-Star who died in 2006 of a brain aneurysm. The foundation is committed to the funding of aneurysm research and treatment.
