Rice to host ‘Turkey at a Crossroads? The 2014 Presidential Elections Roundtable Discussion’

Rice University’s Department of Political Science will present “Turkey at a Crossroads? The 2014 Presidential Elections Roundtable Discussion” July 24 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in Herring Hall, Room 100. The discussion is open to the general public as well as the Rice community and will be followed by a reception.

Speakers for the event include Melissa Marschall, professor of political science at Rice; Abdullah Aydogan of the University of Houston; Alper Bulut of the University of Houston; Yurter Ozcan, U.S. representative of the Republican People’s Party of Turkey; Faik Tunay, Istanbul member of parliament for the Republican People’s Party of Turkey; and Aykan Erdemir, Bursa member of parliament for the Republican People’s Party of Turkey.
