The students, masters and resident associates of Hanszen College gathered Saturday night for a candlelight vigil in Bravo’s honor.

“Our heartfelt sympathy goes to Emma’s family in Houston and to her friends, fellow students and teachers at Rice,” Dean of Undergraduates John Hutchinson wrote in a campuswide letter Monday to the Rice community.

He encouraged students “to comfort each other with caring and support during this sad time” and to make use of the Rice Counseling Center at 713-348-4867 if they need additional support.

A viewing is scheduled for Feb. 26 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Waltrip Funeral Home, 1415 Campbell Rd. A “Celebration of Life” service will be held at 1 p.m. Feb. 27 at Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church, 11612 Memorial Dr. A reception will follow the service.
