Rice students, alumni, families and friends celebrate Shepherd School Carnegie debut

Rice President David Leebron, Shepherd School of Music Dean Robert Yekovich and Dean of Humanities Nicolas Shumway welcomed patrons, alumni and trustees at a reception in the Shorin Club Room of Carnegie Hall prior to the Shepherd School’s debut. Rice Board of Trustees Chairman Bobby Tudor ’82 congratulated everyone for this tremendous achievement for the Shepherd School.

Following the concert, audience members, including Rice alumni, faculty, families and friends, gathered with students to celebrate the orchestra’s Carnegie Hall debut and the conclusion of the Shepherd School’s East Coast tour.
