Traveling in style

How do the Shepherd School Symphony Orchestra’s largest instruments make the 3,000-mile roundtrip for the orchestra’s East Coast tour? By traveling in style, with “mummy-like” cargo cases weighing more than 100 pounds each. The custom-built cases are taller than an average-sized adult. Orchestra Manager Kaaren Fleisher is pictured with the orchestra’s nine double-bass cases.
