Go on tour with the Shepherd School Symphony Orchestra

Rice’s Shepherd School Symphony Orchestra’s East Coast tour is taking place more than 1,000 miles from Houston, but fans of the orchestra back in Houston can enjoy highlights from the tour with a simple click of a mouse.

Rice University’s Office of Public Affairs will be providing in-depth coverage of the Shepherd School’s 2014 tour. The latest stories, photos and social media from the tour will be available at https://news2.rice.edu/shepherd-school-on-tour/.

“The Shepherd School Symphony Orchestra’s debut on two of the world’s great stages – Meyerhoff Hall in Baltimore and Carnegie Hall in New York – sets a new standard for the aspirations and quality of our orchestral program under music director Larry Rachleff, further bolstering the Shepherd School’s fine reputation among schools of music,” said Robert Yekovich, dean of the Shepherd School.
