Double-double: Kuster dunks two longstanding records

Rice women’s basketball player Jessica Kuster surpassed Pat Krieger’s 32-year-old all-time scoring record when the Owls played Tulane Jan. 29 at Tudor Fieldhouse. (Rice lost 62-55.)

In the process, Kuster recorded her 17th double-double (10 points and 10 rebounds) of the season and the 58th of her career, moving her into a tie for 30th all-time in NCAA Division I history.

The senior forward had already broken the school record for rebounds Jan. 15 against Louisiana Tech Lady Techsters.

The Lady Owls play their next home game at Tudor Fieldhouse against the University of Texas-San Antonio at 2 p.m. Feb. 15.
