Rice MBA program ranks No. 19 nationally

Rice University’s MBA program is ranked No. 19 in the U.S. for full-time MBA programs and No. 35 globally, according to a 2014 report by the Financial Times.

The annual ranking lists Rice’s Jones Graduate School of Business  No. 2 nationally for salary-percentage increase among graduates and, based on alumni surveys, No. 3 globally for finance and No. 7 globally for entrepreneurship. The salary-percentage increase ranking of the MBA program complements a similarly high ranking achieved by the Executive MBA program for the past two years. The MBA program also moved up three spots nationally to No. 10 for placement success. In addition, the full-time MBA program at the Jones School is ranked No. 1 in Texas and the Southwest. The survey is sent to business school graduates three years after graduation.

“Our strong performance in the Financial Times rankings illustrates our commitment to providing valuable and relevant business education,” said Bill Glick, dean and the H. Joe Nelson III Professor of Management. “Our ability to recruit and develop top talent with a rigorous MBA is most clearly evidenced in our No. 2 ranking in the U.S. for average percent salary increase from matriculation to three-years postgraduation. This average percent salary increase for our full-time MBA graduates is consistent with our No. 2 U.S. ranking on percent salary increase for our Executive MBA graduates. Our alumni get good jobs, excel at creating value and earn these salary increases. The market clearly recognizes the value of the Rice MBA. I’m also pleased that our alumni rate our finance and entrepreneurship programs highly.”

The Rice MBA full-time program provides students with a comprehensive MBA learning experience that combines specialized course work and real-world experience to improve and amplify their strategy, leadership and creative credentials. The program features innovative classes, expert faculty and a diverse group of candidates who often become colleagues for a lifetime.

The Jones Graduate School of Business is consistently recognized by several rankings publications for its programs, including the Rice MBA, Rice MBA for Executives and Rice MBA for Professionals. For more information on Rice MBA programs, visit http://business.rice.edu/.
