Walker to become president of TASFAA next year

Anne Walker, director of Rice’s Office of Financial Aid, has been elected president-elect of the Texas Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (TASFAA). She will become president of the organization in fall 2014.

TASFAA members work collectively to promote access to higher education for all students.  The organization provides a leadership role in training and developing future financial aid professionals, technological advances, outreach and early awareness, partnering with industry and legislative leaders and upholding ethical and professional standards in the financial aid community.

Walker, who had led Rice’s student financial aid services since July 2007, was elected in recognition of her accomplishments, experience and leadership qualities. She has been a member of TASFAA for 13 years and was chair of the TASFAA Conference in 2010.
