Rice University students de-stressed and shared hugs with dogs of various breeds during finals week at the university’s Fondren Library.
The library had asked Houston pet therapy organization Faithful Paws to bring its friendly canines to the first-floor reference collection area of Fondren April 25, 26 and 27. Two therapy cats were also present during the April 25 session.
Fondren Library held its first therapy dog sessions during finals last December and received overwhelmingly positive feedback from students, according to library staff members.
