Rice students are invited to enjoy a bowl of chili and network with prospective employers at the Center for Career Development’s (CCD) 22nd annual Chili Cook-off and Career Carnival March 14 from 4 to 6 p.m. outside Huff House.
The event will include refreshments, a live disc jockey and career-development games related to the services offered by the CCD, including “Career Jeopardy” and “Dressing for Success.” More than 15 employers from banking, finance, energy and retail industries are scheduled to attend.
“The chili cook-off allows students and companies to interact in a fun, informal environment,” said Jessica Campbell, associate director for employer relations for the CCD. “It’s a great way to practice your networking skills and find out more about how the center can help you identify and pursue your chosen career.”.
The event is free and open to members of the Rice community. For more information, visit http://ccd.rice.edu/students_chili.
