Rice professors Douglas Natelson and Katherine Ensor represented the university at the American Association for the Advancement of Science fellows meeting Feb. 16 in Boston, where they were among six members of the Rice faculty named fellows of the prestigious organization. Ensor is a professor of statistics and chair of the Department of Statistics. Natelson is a professor of physics and astronomy and of electrical and computer engineering. Both are wearing the rosettes symbolic of their achievement that were presented to them at the morning ceremony. Also elected but not in attendance were School of Natural Sciences Dean Daniel Carson and professors Lydia Kavraki, George Phillips and Marina Vannucci.
