HoustonPBS to air ‘Young, Gifted and Black: Reflections from Black Alumni at Rice’

As part of its Black History Month celebration, HoustonPBS will air “Young, Gifted and Black: Reflections from Black Alumni at Rice” twice in February. The 80-minute film exploring the lives of 15 distinguished black alumni before they came to Rice, during their stay at Rice and their careers after Rice was produced for a weekend of multicultural events in honor of the university’s Centennial Celebration last fall.

The film will air Feb. 5 at 10:30 p.m. on Channel 8.1 (KUHT’s primary channel) and will again Feb. 7 at 2 a.m. on Channel 8.2. (See an explanation of HoustonPBS channels at www.houstonpbs.org/aboutus/program_services.html.)
