Rice Art Gallery launches university’s first iPad app to honor centennial

Rice University Art Gallery honored Rice’s centennial and founding idea of “no upper limit to its educational endeavor” with the creation and launch Oct. 10 of the university’s first downloadable app for the iPad. By swiping an interactive timeline, visitors from around the globe can access images of Rice Gallery exhibitions past and present in high-definition retinal display. The campus community and visitors can experience the free app on a mounted iPad display in the Sewall Hall foyer and receive instructions on how to download the app to their own iPad. It can be downloaded at https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/rice-university-art-gallery/id562379006.
