Rice MBA ranked No. 25 in the US – up 14 positions in global ranking

HOUSTON – (Oct. 5, 2012) – The Master of Business Administration (MBA) program at Rice University’s Jones Graduate School of Business is ranked No. 25 in the U.S. and No. 39 among full-time global MBA programs, according to new rankings from The Economist. The global ranking is 14 positions higher than last year and historically the best ranking for this program by The Economist. It is consistent with upward trends in other rankings among U.S. full-time MBA programs from Businessweek (No. 29), U.S. News & World Report (No. 25), and Financial Times (No. 20).

“We are pleased in the improvement reflected in this year’s Economist ranking, both nationally and globally,” said Bill Glick, dean of the Jones School. “The increase is reflective of our ongoing commitment to impact business education and research at a global level.”

The Rice MBA Full-Time Program provides students with a comprehensive MBA learning experience that combines specialized course work and real-world experience to improve and amplify their strategy, leadership and creative credentials. The program features innovative classes, expert faculty and a diverse group of candidates who often become colleagues for a lifetime. Contributing to the increase were such factors as “Graduates Finding Jobs through Career Services” (18th globally), “Faculty Quality” (27th globally) students’ “Educational Experience” (27th globally) and “Alumni Effectiveness” (33rd globally).

The Jones Graduate School of Business is consistently recognized by several rankings publications for its programs, including the Rice MBA, Rice MBA for Executives and Rice MBA for Professionals. For more information on the Jones School, visit http://business.rice.edu/future.
