Experts Diamond, Green to discuss jobs, debt and taxes

HOUSTON – (Oct. 1, 2012) – Experts at Rice University’s Baker Institute for Public Policy will discuss the potential economic effects of various policy options, including tax and spending reform, available to the next presidential administration at the institute’s second “Election 2012: Policy Perspectives” series event Oct. 8. A moderated talk and questions from the audience will follow the presentation, which is free and open to the public.

Who:               Panelists John Diamond, the Edward A. and Hermena Hancock Kelly Fellow in Public Finance, and Russell Green, the Will Clayton Fellow in International Economics, at Rice’s Baker Institute for Public Policy.

Moderated by Steven Miller, chairman and president of SLM Discovery Ventures Inc. and former president, chairman and CEO of Shell Oil Company.

Introduction by Edward Djerejian, Baker Institute founding director.
