Rice University’s Kinder Institute to release results from first Houston Arts Survey Sept. 25

Rice University sociologist Stephen Klineberg, co-director of the Kinder Institute, will present the central findings of the survey at “The Houston Arts Survey – A Conversation on the Arts: Participation, Perceptions & Prospects” from 2 to 4 p.m. Sept. 25 at the Hilton-Americas Houston, 1600 Lamar St.

The talk will be part of the Houston Arts Survey Conference, which is free and open to the public. The conference will also include two distinguished panels featuring local, regional and national arts leaders who will explore the implications of this new research. The survey will be released in its entirety at the conference, which is funded by Houston Endowment Inc.

The conference will be preceded by the “Business of the Arts” luncheon, hosted by Houston Arts Alliance and Greater Houston Partnership.
