Enthusiasm was abundant in Rice Stadium Tuesday evening as incoming freshmen put their game faces on and received their official introduction to Rice athletics. The Class of 2016 enjoyed a picnic with Owls of every sport, where they were encouraged to show their support during all Rice sporting events.
Head football coach David Bailiff added to the enthusiasm by previewing the Owls’ season opener against the University of California-Los Angeles. Kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m. Aug. 30 at Rice Stadium. Season and individual game tickets can be purchased by calling 713-522-OWLS or visiting www.riceowls.com.
