HOUSTON – (April 19, 2012) – Saturday has been designated “Rice Day” at the Rice Centennial House being constructed at 1706 Capron St. in Houston’s Greater Fifth Ward. Rice Habitat for Humanity is constructing the house in honor of Rice’s 100th anniversary this year. Rice alumna/Houston Mayor Annise Parker and Rice President David Leebron will visit the construction site from 9 to 9:30 a.m. April 21 to greet some of the Rice students, faculty, staff and alumni who are volunteering to help with the house.
