Open house March 30 at Rice Campus Observatory

The Rice University Campus Observatory, located atop Brockman Hall for Physics, will hold a free open house March 30 to give people a chance to view the moon, Mars, Venus, Saturn, star clusters, nebulae, binary stars and more.

In the event of cloudy weather, the viewing will be held March 31.

The open house will be hosted by Patrick Hartigan, professor of physics and astronomy. Weather permitting, viewings will begin about one hour after sunset and last two to three hours.
