Jones Partners Thought Leadership Series: ‘Reflections on the Oil and Gas Industry’

The Jones Graduate School of Business (JGSB) will host “Reflections on the Oil and Gas Industry,” part of the Jones Partners‘ Thought Leadership Series, at 6 p.m. March 27 in McNair Hall’s Shell Auditorium.

Featured speakers for the event will include Jim Mulva, chairman, president and CEO of ConocoPhillips, and Bill Arnold, professor in the practice of energy management at the Jones Graduate School of Business.

With more than 75 years of combined experience, the two experts will reflect on fundamental changes that have occurred in the energy industry during their careers. Mulva will discuss his insights on differences between the 1970s and today, as well as lessons learned at the helm of one of the world’s leading energy companies. Arnold will talk about the changing competitive landscape, energy transitions ahead and the relationship between a leading company and a major research university.

The Jones Partners is a committed group of business professionals working to open doors and increase collaboration between the Jones School and the Houston business community. The Thought Leadership Series comprises several events throughout the year that allow the business community to gain perspectives on current issues from industry leaders and Jones School faculty members by exploring current business trends and associated academic research and thought. These evening events are preceded by a networking cocktail reception.
