‘Unconventional Superconductivity’

“Unconventional Superconductivity and Electron Correlations” was the
theme of the
2011 Hangzhou Workshop on Quantum Matter, which took place
April 10-13 in Hangzhou, China. The workshop was organized by the
International Collaborator Center on Quantum Matter, which is a joint
entity Rice University formed through its Quantum Magnetism Laboratory
with Zhejiang University, the Max Planck Institute for the Chemical
Physics of Solids and the London Centre for Nanotechnology. Pictured at
the workshop (from left) are physics graduate students Liang Zhao and
Eteri Svanidze; Vice President for International and Interdisciplinary
Initiatives Carol Quillen; Provost George McLendon; Pallab Goswami,
postdoctoral research associate in physics and astronomy; Andriy
Nevidomskyy, assistant professor of physics and astronomy; and Qimiao
