Urban Harvest fruit tree sale at Rice Stadium Jan. 17

Urban Harvest is holding its annual fruit tree sale at Rice Stadium from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Jan. 17.

Admission is free to the sale that will feature about 5,500 trees, berries and bushes well-suited for Houston’s climate, including apple, blueberry, grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach and plum. Knowledgeable volunteers will be on hand to help make selections and move trees to customers’ vehicles.

Urban Harvest is a nonprofit organization that uses fruit, vegetable and habitat gardens to improve quality of life in the Greater Houston area. For more information, visit www.urbanharvest.org
